I still love scrapbooking but right now I enjoy mixed media and altered arts. Sometimes it's an item or a colour that can inspire me, other times it's new products.
I love Prima Marketing particularly finnabairs products as they are so versatile.
I decided to make an altered cover for an A5 sized note book just so I could get to grips with the new mica powders from Prima.
I started by glueing small pieces of canvas, resist canvas and lace onto background cardstock using Finns gloss Gell medium.
Once dry I started my composition of the main elements I wanted to use on the cover.
I always start with the latgest. I added prima canvas flowers under.
Some embellishments are vintage finds from old watch parts.
I adhered them again with a generous amount of gell medium.
Once dry, I spritzed with water then I made two sprays using Rust and teal mica.
I added gold micro beads and gold mica as highlights.
I love these products, the amount you can create from one product is amazing.
Until next time
Hugs
Rachael
